“Human hearts are yearning for a world where love endures, where gifts are shared, where unity is built, where freedom finds meaning in truth, and where identity is found in respectful communion. Our faith can respond to these expectations: may you become its heralds!”
-Pope Benedict XVI

Our Catholic faith is a rich treasure! For 2,000 years, the Church has faithfully passed down the truths revealed by God found in Sacred Scripture and Sacred Tradition. We are called - and challenged - to constantly grow in our understanding and appreciation for our Catholic faith.
In his Apostolic Letter announcing the Year of Faith, Porta Fidei, Pope Benedict XVI challenged every Catholic to study and learn the faith that we have received:
"To rediscover the content of the faith that is professed, celebrated, lived and prayed, and to reflect on the act of faith, is a task that every believer must make his own, especially in the course of this Year." (Porta Fidei, 9)
We are called to learn the faith by reading the Scriptures, the Catechism of the Catholic Church, the writings of the Popes, etc. We are called to live the faith through participation in Sunday Mass, Confession, daily prayer, etc. We are called to witness to the faith by teaching others about Christ and His Church and sharing our faith with those around us. We are called to put the faith into action through works of charity and service.Check out the resource section on the left for some helpful resources for delving into the beauty and richness of our faith.
Non-Catholics interested in learning more about the Catholic Church, should considering attending RCIA. You can read more about our RCIA program here.
Above all, our Catholic Faith is about a deep relationship with Jesus Christ, and the Church that He established. Jesus is the source of our salvation and the one mediator between us and God.
The very mission of the Catholic Church is to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ and be a means for bringing His truth, grace and love into the world, especially through the Sacraments.
Any attempt to explore what the Catholic Church teaches and believes, needs to be born of prayer. Ask Jesus to show you the truth.
