St. Mary Parish will be offering an exciting new Catholic Bible Study Program called The Great Adventure in March and April.

Jeff Cavins, an internationally recognized speaker and Bible teacher, developed this Bible study system when he realized that Catholics knew many passages of the Bible, but didn't see how they all fit together as one narrative. Through DVD presentations he uses Catholic Teaching and Tradition to unlock the beauty and richness of the Scriptures, offering us a deeper understanding of our faith.

Sessions will be offered in the Church Social Hall from 10-11:30 AM and 7-8:30 PM on Thursdays from March 10 – April 14. This is the first of four segments of the program, which will continue this Fall, and in the Spring and in the Fall next year.

All sessions take place on Thursdays from 10:00-11:30 AM and 7:00-8:30 PM in the Church Social Hall.

Session 1 - March 10 - Introduction (Reading the Bible as a Catholic, Introduction of the Bible Timeline)

Session 2 - March 17 - Early World I (Creation and the Fall, Genesis 1-3)

Session 3 - March 24 - Early World II (Cain and Abel, Noah, Genesis 4-11)

Session 4 - March 31 - Patriarchs I (Abraham and Isaac, Genesis 12-26)

Session 5 - April 7   - Patriarchs II (Jacob and Joseph, Genesis 27-50)

Session 6 - April 14 - Egypt and Exodus I (Enslavement of the Israelites, Moses, Passover, Exodus 1-18)
